At the Eastern Sierra Visitor Center, one can view Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the “lower 48 states” and plan a trip to Badwater Basin, the lowest place in the North America. This facility, staffed by US Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association employees, provides information on public lands in Inyo and Mono Counties and beyond, including: Inyo National Forest, Death Valley National Park, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, and Alabama Hills. 

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be on site at the Visitor Center from 12 pm - 4 pm educating the public about how to minimize one's impacts and protect these unique and iconic natural areas.
