<p>Powderhorn is a hands-on, resource training course for scout leaders and older youth to help them deliver high adventure programs to their home units.&nbsp; Planned topics include: Backpacking, Canoeing, Caving, Climbing, Ecology, Equestrian, Expedition Planning, First Aid, Fly Fishing, Kayaking, Leave No Trace, Lifesaving/Aquatics, Mountain Biking, Scuba, Shooting Sports,Watercraft, and Wilderness Survival.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Leave No Trace is a Day 1 topic to set the tone for the rest of the training and the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be on site offering workshops on practicing Leave No Trace and teaching Leave No Trace.</p>
<p>This Powder Horn course is a joint venture between Longhorn Council and Capital Area councils. &nbsp;Participants and staff will come from as far north as the Oklahoma/Texas border and as far south as near San Antonio. &nbsp;</p>
