The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers will be at the Amboy Crater trailhead on March 17 and 18 -- during the height of the wildflower season -- to educate the public about protecting this area and minimizing impacts. Our team will be part of the annual open house of the Mojave Desert Land Trust on March 17.

Amboy Crater, a National Natural Landmark and part of Mojave Trails National Monument, is recognized for its visual and geological significance. Formed of ash and cinders, it is 250 feet high and 1,500 feet in diameter. It is situated in one of the youngest volcanic fields in the United States.
