Samuell Farm Spotlight

The Subaru/Leave No Trace Team will be at the Samuell Farm Leave No Trace Spotlight March 16-18, collaborating with the city of Dallas Park and Recreation Outdoor Adventures program and partners on a variety of workshops, outreach programs and community events. Topics in this Youth Educator Workshop include:

• Best practices for effectively reaching youth with Leave No Trace, including fun and interactive games and activities educators can use, whether online or in person, to teach students, campers, and other youth participants (ages 6 to 18) how to Leave No Trace.
• Activities may include resources from Leave No Trace’s website, Bigfoot’s Playbook, PEAK, TEEN program, and Social Media + Stewardship.  
• Designed for outdoor/environmental educators, teachers, guides, camp staff, and other full-time/seasonal youth educators/leaders interested in teaching kids how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.

IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTES

- Advance registration is required.

- Box Dinner will be provided. Please email any special dietary needs to [email protected] by March 13.

- Event will take place outdoors under a large tent. Be prepared for outdoor weather/conditions. 

Participants who are completely new to Leave No Trace or have not had Leave No Trace training in recent years are encouraged to participate in a Leave No Trace introductory program or complete the self-paced (30 min.) Leave No Trace Online Awareness Course in advance.
