Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers...wait who?

Breaks Interstate Park, VA--You've been seeing a lot of the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers: but what does it mean to be one?  Who are we and what is it we do...exactly?

In short, we are a mobile education unit that travels the country teaching minimum impact practices and outdoor ethics.  Currently there are four, two person teams of traveling trainers spread across the country; all living and working from our Subarus, by the rules of the road, and the paths of the wind.  Nearly 200 nights a year you will find us sleeping in our North Face tent under the stars, sometimes the moon, and rarely in the same spot.

Elementary schools, universities, community festivals, music shows, outdoor races, and campgrounds only sum up a few of the venues from which we conduct our free educational outreaches.  Check our event outreach calendar to see if we will be in your area anytime soon!  We would love to see you and give you a bird's eye view of what the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer Program is truly about.

Thanks to our supporting partners like Subaru, Eagle Nest Outfitters, REI, Deuter, Smartwool, and Fjall Raven for giving us the ability to not only continue our free outreach, but to succeed our previous reach of 15 million Americans last year.

See you on the trail!
