Namuli Film and Leave No Trace

Salt Lake City, UT: Conservation and outdoor adventure can be balanced to provide both an appreciation of our world and support local efforts up to nation wide efforts. A big thanks to all of the people, companies, and organizations that helped support a fundraiser for Ukalene Productions and Leave No Trace at the Outdoor Retailer Show this week. A very special thanks to the organizers and athletes from the community-backed film Namuli, which documented the spirit of exploration, biology, and conservation on one of the world least-explored and threatened habitats: Mount Namuli in Mozambique.

Klean Kanteen provided 16 ounce vacuum insulated pint glasses that were filled with cold beer for thirsty customers interested in supporting the Numali film and Leave No Trace. Below are the companies that provided gear for the silent auction and funding to made this fundraising event possible:

As an organization we are grateful for the support of athletes like Majka Burhardt and Kate Rutherford, the rock climbers that traveled to Mozambique for the Namuli Film. Athletes that both climb and support conservation efforts throughout the world are truly inspirational to the outdoor recreation community. Burhardt and Rutherford supported the local communities conservation efforts and feature footage of their incredible climbing exploits.  If you are interested in seeing their film you can find a showing at the online schedule

Thanks for reading and remember to be like the Center’s mascot Bigfoot and Leave No Trace.
