Meet the Newest Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers!

Boulder, CO: May marks the start to another epic Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer tour! Three new teams are hitting the road to educate millions of people about Leave No Trace practices. At the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, everyone is buzzing with activity, finalizing the logistics for a year of education and life on the road.

The Subaru’s are packed to the brim and ready to hit the road. We are stoked to introduce the newest Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers. Without further ado, please help us welcome the three new teams!


Team East Central: Amanda & Greg

Amanda was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her favorite activities to do out-of-doors are hiking, backpacking, biking, climbing, surfing. Fun Fact: “I have a random fear of antlers…”

Greg hails from Colts Neck, NJ. His favorite activities to do outside are hiking, backpacking, trail running, climbing, and surfing. Fun Fact: He is still living in his 3rd grade role as Peter Pan, “Never Grow Up!”


Team West Central: Donielle & Aaron

Donielle is originally from in Reno, NV but has spent the last year living in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, laying in hammocks, swimming in alpine lakes, and finding shapes in the clouds are her favorite activities. Fun Fact: She has been inspired to learn hobbies that include woodworking, learning the medicinal qualities of plants, and playing with vintage cameras.

Aaron is originally from South Lake Tahoe, CA. He has a strong passion for activities in the outdoors that include hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, splitboarding (backcountry snowboarding), and snowshoeing. Fun Fact: Aaron is a budding photographer, meteorologist, coffee addict and can sing in a Dracula voice.


Team West: Emy & Alex

Emy is from the Bay Area in California, but most recently has been living in the Pacific Northwest. Her favorite activities include hiking, finding new hot springs, stargazing, and learning about local flora and fauna. Fun Fact: Emy loves swimming in cold water, especially when followed by a wood burning sauna.

Alex is from Washington state.His favorite things to do outside are skiing, digging cat holes, struggling up rocks and floundering down rivers. Fun Fact: Alex was a trivia host, and his biggest pet peeve is seeing cigarette butts while out on the trail.
