Leave No Trace Holds Fundraiser at Dog-Friendly Bar

Boulder, CO: The dog days of summer have arrived. In celebration of the summer solstice, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics came together with Romero’s K9 Club & Tap House and Stem Ciders #ThisIsCider for a fundraising event involving raffle prizes, a cornhole competition and our favorite dog friends!

Everyone enjoyed an evening celebrating longer days, good company and upcoming adventures. Plus, we witnessed some impressive cornhole skills in a winner-takes-all tournament that featured about $2,000 worth of raffle prizes.

All funds raised will go to support the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics Hot Spots Program. Hot Spots are conducted on public lands—city parks, forests, open space land, national parks—across the country that have sustained damaged from overuse. In its sixth year, the Leave No Trace Hot Spots program has helped dozens of damaged public lands regain their health and long-term sustainability through week-long visits that feature onsite education and events designed to engage the local community.

Many thanks to out hosts at Romero's, and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us—it was a great way to kick off summer!
