How to Practice and Promote Leave No Trace at your School

Jacksonville, Florida: Happy Acres Ranch is a school, summer camp, and afterschool program that is dedicated to including Leave No Trace and outdoor education/recreation in their students’ education. Happy Acres provides kids with a chance to experience their outdoor environment through programs, play, and they also advocate environmental ethics. Programs like Happy Acres have infrastructures to allow for this type of education but, for those that don’t, Leave No Trace has materials, programs, and ideas on how outdoor ethics education can be implemented for their students. Below are suggestions on how you can include the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics to develop an outdoor ethic within your students.
