Danielle Rowland

Danielle’s spirit for the outdoors came to life at a young age, whether the sun was shining or the snow was falling, she was always outside playing. Danielle was introduced to the Leave No Trace principles on an educational backpacking trip through the Rocky Mountains in high school. Entwined in years of exploring nature, seeking adventure on the river and climbing rocks, Danielle earned a degree in organizational leadership and interpersonal communication. She also participated in an outreach trip to Rwanda, Africa, where she fell in love with photography and its ability to savor and proclaim the beauty of nature visually. Since then, Danielle has strived to become an essential factor in the discussion to protect and maintain the outdoors through transformational leadership, captured art, and an expressive lifestyle full of adventure.  She is excited to take this passion across the country as a Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer.

Roland Mott

Roland firmly believes that we are inextricably woven into the natural and wild world around us. His exposure to the ethics and importance of Leave No Trace came in a semester long experiential education course he took in high school called Senior Field Studies, a semester technical mountaineering course with Outward Bound, and in completing his degree in outdoor recreational leadership. Roland has spent the last six years instructing wilderness courses in the areas of backpacking, climbing, and whitewater. He has also professionally guided Class I-V whitewater, traveling and immersing himself in his love of rivers all over the U.S. as well as Central America. Every waking minute he is found diving into the outdoors, whether he’s climbing the endless splitters in Yosemite or running rapids in the great canyons of the West. Sharing his love of being outside is what drives his spirit.
