Jon Wilmot, Spokane, WA State Advocate
I am fortunate to live in the Inland Northwest, which is abundant with recreation and wild places. During my time as state advocate I hope to help the membership numbers in Washington State grow; I enjoy teaching Master Educator and Trainer Courses. I am currently trying to involve Leave No Rrace with recreational events around Washington. I think the best way to impact Washington State with Leave No Trace, aside from role modeling the Principles, is help its membership base grow and increase its number of Partners in Washington State.

Through focused activities, hands-on field experience and both formal and informal discussions, you will be introduced to concepts and methods that will advance your knowledge of Leave No Trace issues, expand your repertoire of low-impact skills and increase your effectiveness in teaching these important skills to others.
Participants should be experienced campers or backpackers. Instruction will concentrate on the incorporation of low impact techniques in camping and backpacking settings. This is a fun course where all participants have a part in demonstrating the choices that can be made to minimize our impact on the land and our resources. On completion of this course, participants will be registered as Leave No Trace Trainers with the national Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics and will receive a certificate of course completion.
This 16 hour course will use the Leave No Trace (LNT) curriculum to result in a Leave No Trace Trainer Certification as well as emphasize primitive camping techniques and winter camping skills. Based on the seven principles of Leave No Trace:
