Pete Antos-Ketcham, Starksboro, VT State Advocate
I live in Starksboro Vermont at the base of Camels Hump, Vermont's second largest alpine zone peak. My goal is to have Leave No Trace be simply the way people hike and camp - rather than a special set of goals to aspire to. I currently engage the community by providing awareness workshops and trainer courses. In the future I want to offer the Masters Course here in VT in conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain Club. I think bringing the Masters Course to Vermont will have tremendous impact. We need to get camp and college leaders trained at the Master Level so they can disseminate that information to their leaders and down the chain.
